Mon Oct 1st - Algebra - Substitution

LEARNING OBJECTIVE: Discover how to change the letter in an expression for a number and then work out the value of the expression.
SUCCESS CRITERIA: You will be able to substitute numerical values into algebraic expressions and then work out the value of the expression  - remembering the rules of BODMAS.

ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITY: Lemon Law
LESSON:  Use this Lesson (screens 1 to 6) to show how substitution of variables in an expression works. Repeat question screens if needed. (Plenary - put answers onto screen on teacher machine and get students to self check their own work as they finish it).
