Fri - 9th Nov - Updating FLight path, sorting out folders - More algebra work.

LEARNING OBJECTIVE: To discover what progress we are making, to ensure all tests are organised in folder and to revise algebra work

SUCCESS CRITERIA: You will be aware of your current level of achievement  whether you are on target or not. You may also be able to revise algebra - substitution.

LESSON: Ensure all test papers are handed out, Get students to get their books and folders.
1. Ensure your test are filed in an organised way in your ring binder.
2. Update your flightpath with your D1 test result.

In your exercise book under today's date and LO copy and complete these sentences: replace the highlighted sections with your own data and choices

In test D1 I got a score of ???. this is a Grade ??.

My Best scores were in these three questions - topic1, topic2, topic3

I did not do very well in these three topics  - topic1, topic2, topic3 and will try and revise these at home using mymaths activities and homeworks

If you finish all that, then ask me for some loop cards to revise algebra - substitution and algebra - simplifying

Mon 5th & Weds 7th Nov - Test review and analysis

LEARNING OBJECTIVE: To Analyse and review the questions and topics in the D1 grade F/G test

SUCCESS CRITERIA: You will understand what the answers to the questions were in the test, you will know which topics you need to do some more work on, you will gain a higher grade at the end of term test in December

LESSON: Hand back marked tests and give students 5/10 mins to look at results / talk about answers and share results with each other.

For rest of lesson we will work through the questions one by one, looking at model answers. Students will make  copies of model answers using purple pens and then attempt some further questions on each topic that I will set on IWB.
Students will add topics to their test papers and select which three areas they will work on themselves (possibly via intervention) before next half term test in December

If any spare time we will sort out folders and update flight trackers.

Talk about intervention process and extra work for those who do not improve from last test results
